Our Story

Annie is a NSW artist based in beautiful Avalon on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, where she lives with her young family.

 

Originally from Rotorua, New Zealand, Annie grew up surrounded by the natural beauty of rolling hills and country greens. Her favourite subject and passion in school was art and she often found herself painting her families gardens.

 

That same love for detail and meaning would later inspire A Home Drawn, a creative venture born from capturing the beauty in memory, nostalgia and personal connection. Annie’s reconnection to art began during COVID when she painted her best friend’s new home as a housewarming gift. From that heartfelt gesture, A Home Drawn was born.

 

Four years on, inspired by her new home in Avalon, Annie created Palmy & Cove, a brand that celebrates the joy, colour and beauty of Australian coastal life. It’s her love letter to the Northern Beaches and beyond, capturing the essence of community, the laid-back rhythm of beach living and the new memories she’s creating with her family.

 

Each piece is hand-drawn and painted in Annie’s home studio in Avalon, using acrylics on canvas. Inspired by the ocean, nature and the familiar icons of Australian beach life, her work highlights true-blue Aussie moments, from sunlit surf days to nostalgic coastal landmarks.
